The most important city and port of the island, whose turbulent history is hidden in the walls of the Old City (UNESCO): Suleiman the Magnificent Mosque, Kahal Kadosh Shalom Synagogue, Turkish Bath, Deco Governor's House and Grand Master’s Palace – these are just some of the places that you must see. It is also worth climbing the Monte Smith hill, where there is an acropolis with the Temple of Apollo, a stadium and an Odeon.

Have a short walk and visit the Mandraki harbour – modern marina where – as it is stated in myths - enormous statue of Colossus guarded the entrance of harbour.
